LMAO at drowned sea creature! But nope, still doesn't look like that to me. It's a gorgeous icon!

IKR. And it's not just the quote, we also both had a cursive font, a pretty large font size, and a bit of rotation! :D But great minds think alike right? Sometimes a cap just screams for something and well who are we to resist!

Do you have an icon journal/community btw? It's weird cause I know a ton of iconers yet for some reason hadn't even heard of you before so the awesomeness of your icons was a total surprise! I'd definitely like to see more but couldn't find a link to an icon comm anywhere :<

Can't stop chuckling at Courgette, and I love those little comments from the Thenardiers too, they're so funny in the movie. They sound more scary and creepy in the book though but I haven't read all of it yet so we'll see!

I meant that she's all pale and green. That is totally how I imagine sirens and evil mermaids lol. The next thing we know Mme. Thenardier will push her too far and bb!Cosette will sprout fangs and sink them into her enemy. Or something.

LOL YES. The cursive kind of looks similar too (sort of) and the rotation. And the Thenardiers' faces are totally all "haha look at us, campaigning for Parents For the Year Award," so ofc we went there >_<

I don't have an icon comm mostly because I don't make good icons with enough consistency to make a separate comm lol. Usually I use this tag on my lj.

OH GOD FINISH THE BOOK. THE THENARDIERS ARE NIGHTMARISH. Mme. Thenardier is like the knitting woman from Tale of Two Cities, only brawnier, ergo even more dangerous. Their lines are pure win in the movie, though *__* Like when M. Thenardier finds Valjean in the sewer: "Hey, you're alive? Oh cool. Btw, I'm the one who saved you. Cheque, please."

YOU GUYS, THIS POST LOOKS GORGEOUS. Also, I have far too many feels about the icons, so I'm just going to make two separate comments to keep everything neat and sorted.

john_scorpy, I love love love your second Fantine cap, which just says more about me being a sucker for angst than anything else, but it's just really, really pretty.

The scratchy-bright-saturated colouring on your icons make the colours pop in a great way. Like

Omg, how awesome is this comment?? Thank you so much for the detailed feedback!! I love how much thought you gave these icons :3 THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS READING TOO MUCH INTO ICONS. Especially Les Mis icons. This comment was seriously a fantastic and insightful read!

Oh I'm very relieved that you liked the Fantine cap, I must admit I picked my caps pretty much at random and when I got that one my immediate thought was 'the other two will hate me for picking such a dark and blue and just plain difficult cap' :p

scratchy-bright-saturated pretty much sums up my whole iconing style, lol! And obviously I can't not slap textures on everything so I'm super happy you think it works, hee :D and omg I love your Red Oni Blue Oni interpretation. I wish I could say it was intended that way but tbh I just threw weird textures and gradient maps all over the place without much thought at all :p Eeek, I'm so glad you got the point I was going for with the Javert, 'Madeleine' + 24601 icon ( ... )

Haha who cares about colours when the Fantine cap is just so damn pretty? *__* Such an awful, awful moment in her story, but hah, the angst is just bleeding out on the snow and don't judge me for calling that pretty, okay?

Also add mind-blowing complex composition and text to that description of your icons. You are really, really good at slapping on textures lol. Like even the most geometric and schizophrenic and avant-garde textures work for you like you like you sprinkled fairy dust on them and commanded them to do your bidding. Also, I am now totally disillusioned that you didn't do the Red Oni Blue Oni thing on purpose T_______T ;P ( ... )
