In general I try not to discuss politics because its an emotional issue I dont feel like either converting or being converted on. But as to the subject of freedoms, and rights and especially history I keep thinking that we've regressed quite a bit and given far too much control in a campaign of fear to our leaders. I worry quite a lot about the state of the country/world my kids are growing up in, and what expectations they'll have of the world in a place with zero tolerance policies where our government doesnt try to hold itself to a higher standard (and I'll admit in some cases for the greater good should it? its beyond grey into opaque fog on how complicated you could make things). The brightest spot of "hope" I have is that we share information and that nothing much seems to be a secret so we'll see if people will tolerate it and how it'll all wash out but it is pretty damn scary times in many respects.

The immorality of how it is used would apply equally to non-suicide bombing. Picking on a delivery system is weird.
