Saddest excuse for a geek gathering, but I know Kam was so touched by how many folks came out from far and wide to give a good wake for Zippy. G's just seemed the most appropriate place on so many levels. Stories were shared about him and not seen in long friends reconnected with. We will miss our friend, I know I already do.

Ok I'm almost there. By this time tomorrow night it'll be over (and with any luck on the news!) The big Parkinson's Symposium is apparently the place to be and we will have tons of folks there, and I just hope the patients have a good day. Now to calm down enough to sleep!

We had a lovely Parents Night Out(tm) starting with dinner at Amber India. Although he knew nothing about it but the title and that it had won some awards we went to see Slumdog Millionaire. Not a good update today his kidney's have failed, white cell count is still above 40K. More at Kam's LJ defiantly an especially hard couple of days.

Hey all if you dont read Kam's LJ she's posted the lastest Zippy Update. This is a really through analysis of what is and has happened medically.

Wish I had better news but its still "Gravely Ill" in the ICU 3 weeks now and holding pattern of waiting for the pancretitis to clear up.

FYI if you havent heard Zippy has been in the ICU for 10+ days and is in critical condition. After going with Kam to a late showing of Twilight he woke up puking and with severe abdominal pains, eventually they decided it wasnt just the flu or food poisioning and he next morning he went to the ER.
