I have been trying to catch up on my TV viewing and have partially succeeded. I have also managed to go to the movies a couple of times. I think this is a great accomplishment for me.
I saw Thor in 3D and loved it, it just looked so... sharp and awesome. I think that 2D versions look a bit fuzzy when compared to 3D - I noticed it with Tron, saw it in both and the 3D version was so much better.
I loved that Thor never gave up on Loki, that was all kinds of awesome.
And I love that the Fast&Furious franchise is all "Hi, race and culture, we haz them!" without making a big deal out of it. It's just there because it's normal. I read an article where the reporter called this franchise the most progressive movies in Hollywood right now, where race was concerned. It was kinda awesome :)
Renly/Loras was so amazing. Especially the BJ noises, ha!
I also loved Cersei and Robert's conversation, which only made me even more sympathetic toward Cersei. I wasn't sure about their casting of Lena Headey (even though I love her) because her Cersei is very different from the book's, but more and more, I think that it's a good thing. Weirdly enough, other than Arya, all my favorite characters in the show are Lannisters. Probably better than being attached to the Starks, I suppose. :)
I think it's definitely a good thing that the show Cersei is different from book Cersei. In the book it's fine for her to be practically irredeemable but for her to be like that in the show just wouldn't work.
And yeah, other than Arya, I think Jamie and Tyrion are my favourites. Plus one or two others from later books.
I'm really looking forward to the rest of the episodes. They are, for the most part, doing it SO well.

Thor never giving up on Loki was awesome and I do hope that it means that Loki can be redeemed because that would make me so happy.
My friend was talking about that article and it's so true. They don't make a big deal out of it and it's just a fact and because of it, it's awesome.
