A little bit of everything

Okay, so I know everyone and their dog has heard about the plane landing in the Hudson in NYC. I just wanted to express my amazement at the level of skill needed to land a plane in a fast moving river. Seriously, I'm just...wow. As has already been said n my flist - I want that man to be flying the next plane I'm on ( Read more... )

They could cast Viggo Mortensen, Hugh Jackman and Clive Owen in SG 90210 and I would not be interested
Ditto.

And it's a sad, sad day when you're so disillusioned by a show that not even that much pretty could pull you in.

The SG PTB really are the dictionary definition of how to piss off your fans.

They want the show to be edgier. Right. And your first move to make it edgier is to keep with the same old tired cliches *claps* Way to make it that little bit extra edgy. NOT.

I love the Jordan/Ducky. I think it's adorable. And I tihnk Tori is great in it. Which just goes to prove that it was bad writing that made me dislike Weir.

Yeah, Gibbs is definitely the loner.

It was like they thought that having a linguist and diplomat would be awesome and cool but kind of forgot that diplomacy is really rather boring and that you aren't going to get an on the edge of your seat moments (at least not with the kind of stories SG PTB write)

They didn't know what to do with her and then couldn't even admit it.

Fanfic writers are definitely the saving grace of SGA. I wonder if the PTB know how much they owe fanfic writers for making sure that people love all the characters.

I don't think I'm going to miss SGA either - or SG in general. It just hurt to see them mess around with characters I loved and adored.

I really want more Castiel.
I agree so much with this. :D I definitely like the human part of this. It's so much more creepy when I think there's a chance this could happen!

Have to admit though, I didn't really understand the need for the brother. It wouldn't have lost anything by taking him out, and they didn't really gain anything by adding him in...

Yeah. The brother. It was unnecessary. It was a great moment because of Dean's reaction, but when you think back over the episode, there is no indication that there was ever a second person.

When you do a reveal like that, your audience should be able to look back over the ep and see moments in the narrative that suddenly make so much more sense.

That so did not happen here.

I do love Castiel SO much.

I loved how in the previous episode Sam called him Cas - that had me in stitches.

And I find myself shipping Castiel/Dean *G*

Why couldn't they get a black guy to play Colonel Young? Or heck cast Robert Beltran, I ♥ him.

I know! Anyone other than your typical all-American white guy.

How can you say you want your show to be edgier when all you do is re-use the same old stereotypes and cliches?

Everything I hear just makes me go NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Coyote Ugly. I love that film *g*

I think, though, it's far to say that Coyote Ugly was more inspiration for this fic than anything else. Because, barring a few scenes, it's not really all that similar.

But I blame the boys (and Morgana, just a little bit)

Couldn't agree more. When I did a Janet Evanovich book, Manhunt, for literal_sga, it went very away from the plot of the book *g*

I also seem to be getting my groove back for this fic, so that's good.

SG90210 makes me want to cry, especially now they've cast Robert Carlyle. Noooooooooooo RC, don't do iiiiiiiit!!! (Although I do wonder if he's not going to be the Robert Patrick equivalent: a famous name to start them off who they can't afford to keep as a regular).

And then there's "Eli ... just happens to be an utter genius with anything he puts his mind to, be it computers, mathematics, video games, or anything else. A lack of confidence has left him with an acerbic sense of humor." *cough*RODNEY*cough* Except, you know. About twelve years old. Grrrr!

SG:90210 - god, it makes me want to cry too. So. Damn. Much.

I think if Robert Carlyle stays he's probably having money issues. But I think that him pulling a Robert Patrick is very likely.

And, yeah, Eli is Rodney McKay 20 years younger. Like all the various peeps of SG:90210 are younger models of other SG characters.

Why are they doing this? WHY???

Apparently to the PTB edgy equals cliche *eyeroll*
