i'm writing to you live from my newly wired house! steve and i just ran ethernet cable from his room (home of the router) down into the basement through the hole drilled originally for the cable ... then across the basement ceiling which is a dropped ceiling so the wire is completely hidden ... to a switch, which is also above the dropped ceiling

And it sounds like all it took was a 3-D rendering of the space time continuum, a few thousand feet of wire, a mechanical man and some duct tape. Easy.
