i'm writing to you live from my newly wired house! steve and i just ran ethernet cable from his room (home of the router) down into the basement through the hole drilled originally for the cable ... then across the basement ceiling which is a dropped ceiling so the wire is completely hidden ... to a switch, which is also above the dropped ceiling and is even plugged in up there to the plug the old light fixture used to be plugged into.. then ran one cable to the laptop (for the projector) and another cable up through the floor again and into my room :) we also learned how to crimp our own cable ends :) which was fun in a really geeky sort of way :D so now .... i has TINTERNETS! YAYS!!!1!!11!
