The consensus is pretty much that the girls were DEFINITELY just as accountable as the boys, if not more so. It's one thing, almost an expected thing, for men to silence women who want to speak out. It's despicable for women to do it to other women. Women should know the hardship, the pain, the degradation that other women go through in their lives. They should understand it and want to help, not add to it by putting their own pressure on. It's just horrible. It makes me sick to my stomach ( ... )

Actually, I'm glad you ranted back. We're having a very angry conversation with the boy in question (though he may or may not ever read it or respond).

I emailed him a link to this. I hope he reads it and feels appropriately ashamed.

I agree. I agree, I agree, I agree! The whole idea makes me so uncomfortable.

And, my first thought upon reading was that nobody gropes each other like theatre kids grope each other, long before I actually got to that part of your post...

OMG.

Theatre kids really do grope each other a lot. Why didn't I ever notice that till now? O_o Apparently I never really thought about it. xD

That aside, I don't think I could possibly agree with you more.
