Headline on the Guardian website this morning: Police shoot dead Italian football fan.

Now is it just me, or do other people think it's in poor taste for the police to shoot someone who's already dead? Why would they shoot a dead fan anyway? Target practise I guess.

I had a meeting in London this afternoon too, in Clerkenwell. Obviously that's cancelled. Let my family know, thankfully none of them are in the London area today. Can't get in touch with my cousins who live near Regent's Park. Fingers crossed everyone's ok, but with reports of deaths and bombs on buses, things are scary.

Please could anyone reading this recommend a good book - I'll be spending a lot of time travelling this week. I have bought a copy of Lovely Bones, but I'm a fast reader and will finish that in a couple hours.

I've come to the conclusion that a lot of people will be pissing me off today. My line manager, who I sit next to, has a habit of lapsing into dialect every now and then.
