I've come to the conclusion that a lot of people will be pissing me off today. My line manager, who I sit next to, has a habit of lapsing into dialect every now and then. I wouldn't mind if that was her normal accent, but she's from Peterborough, and a broad Yorkshire accent (done very badly) doesn't make her look friendlier at all - just more of a tosser.
Talking to an agency, and suddenly saying 'That'd be luvly' in dialect does not endear her to me.
Now she keeps calling me chicken in a newcastle accent, a la Michelle from Big Brother. Please kill me now.
