1) I really really have a dislike for the convention in newspaper headlines of separating a list of two items by a comma. E.g. 'Cats, dogs to have new space adventure' or, from a real headline 'Afghan troops, foreigner killed in Taliban ambush'. A colleague at work noted that I might be an excellent candidate for recording my 'rants' as he called them. I denied this, claiming 'they're not rants - they're discourse!'.

An idea was born - I should use that a tagline for some sort of topical blog. That would be clever... and cunning. Oh yes.
