Morality in Media (a.k.a. shades of Big Brother)
My first post here so if it's in the wrong place, mods, I apologize. Please feel free to move or delete it. Here goes:
The DOJ is outsourcing it's Web obscenity investigations. They claim they have nothing to do with the program but their web site invites citizens to report any material they believe is obscene for investigation and if necessary, prosecution. But clicking on the link to make a report takes the user to ObscenityCrimes.org, which is run by Morality in Media.
This is no neutral organization. Morality in Media are a group of right wing conservative Christians whose agenda since the early 1960s is to stamp out porn. ALL of it, including what they consider a prime threat to society -- the growth on the Internet of sexual material. Not only child porn, be it actual or alleged, but also material involving CONSENTING ADULTS.
Obviously with such a background/mindset, they would make no distinction between real people and fictional characters.

Now, I may be mistaken, but does not the American constitution have this little thing called Separation of Church and State? Or has that too become a victim of the terror/culture wars?
