and I JUST finsihed my assignements >.>flynnacatriJune 10 2008, 13:08:15 UTC
Hmmm... are you using 2007 Excel, or the 2003 one? Not going to be much help as you may be requiring too complicated a result.
for the series, if you have... umm, the family (series) down one side and the y values across the other, you can add the x-values in the graph. You MAY have to add each point separately to label them separately, I believe you do a that level - but could change the colours in each to match. I found, in 2007 (may apply to 2003 as well) that I had to change it to a line graph to add the data labels across the bottom, then changed it back to a scatterplot (not PCA but...)
You CAN cut and paste the graph then manually change the applicable data links (while leaving all the settings unchanged) OR - save the graph/open up a new copy and just change the original data set.
What is your PCA on, out of curiousity? Mine was kakapo over a year ago..., just a moment, *is looking up* ...ahh, no, we ran special simulations, nothing applicable there.

2003, and I've managed the copy/paste thing OK. The inability to label the points with anything other than x or y value is driving me crazy, though. Luckily, I can do this with the software that generated the PCs, but it's still frustrating.

Well, I think you MAY, unless there's a genius lurking on your f-list, have to go with the each-point-in-it's-own-series, and labelling the points that way, option. Which at least can be done... 2007 is a real pain for adding x-values...
Oooh, dinosaurs. We don't do much on them, as NZ had hardly any land ones (Was submerged a lot).
I have access to a crappy online Excel course here at work, I will try and find time this afternoon to do the graph modules in case there's anything useful there. Don't be too optimistic though, because the first module was about how to switch the office assistant on.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about ExCel either. Basically, I'm as useful as wings on a wombat! :(

And it's from landmark data of dino bones.

Apart from Moas. and one of the museums (I forget which one) has some of Gideon Mantell's UK dinosaur material from his son Walter.
