Today has been a wildly fluctuating day of emotion, lead mostly by the fact that the power adaptor for my laptop has stopped working - my PhD is on my laptop. It Was mostly on a usb stick I thought I'd be a fool to lose, but I lost it, and so I started rebuilding what I lost on my laptop and now the batteries have run down and... After discussion with the InnerDad this morning, it was decided that to cart my laptop into a repair place, buy new RAM and maybe a new heatsink, &c &s, probably wasn't worth the hassle when I could just go to a computer shop on TCR and buy myself a new Netbook ( Read more... )

I am an unashamed indiscriminate Gmail user: I use it for everything, including all emails to do with work and college where I set up auto-forwarding as much as possible. ...had a job interview which I thought went very well. It's back at the Grant Museum, as a Learning Assistant, 2 days a week for 6 months. Not the best timing for starting a new job, but after a lot of contemplation I decided the experience opportunity was too good not to apply. The Good news is, that slarti has released a new version of LJ-Login that's enabled for Dreamwidth.The bad news is that you need to uninstall LJ Login 2.1.0 and reinstall version 2.1.1. The really bad news is that this isn't working for me on my Firefox ad now I have neither, so it's time to backup my profile and update the list of my extensions.
