Yes, that is deeply annoying, and I'm monosexual (*salutes Debi*) in a relationship with nobody. Clearly, then, by this logic, I would snog anything male!
Well, if we're stuck with polyamory and other words that mix their roots (ooh, wordsex), one needn't feel too bad for being thusly inconsistent at this point, I say.
Its not the mixing of languages to make new words (though anyone who thinks the plural of octopus is octopi needs to meet Architeuthis on its own turf), but that Andros means male, and Phallus doesn't. This new word just means someone who "loves the cock" as they say.
I can understand your reasoning but recently I've realised how important it is for people to take back being bisexual (I know how ridiculously hippy this sounds!!) and not let it = slvt who can't control themselves, or even worse (for me) person who cannot make their mind up, or is too scared to fully come out.
Obviously being poly I don't really object to people assuming I want to kiss someone else but I'd be a bit annoyed if they said it so directly.

And ALSO, the attitude from some bisexual or gay people that not being more open and less monogamous is somehow a bad thing.
Grrrr.
(*pokes website* gah. CCS broke)

I'll try and get back into it. Shouldn't be too hard. Hopefully...
