When I woke up at 2.30 this morning with a rush of a panic attack, layered over it were two emotions: annoyance because high stress and panic attacks make it hard to sleep at 2.30 in the morning in a heatwave with a cat on my bed where my knees should be, and relief, because I can use the adrenalin.

I have a confession to make: I don't care about MP's expenses. I really don't. I don't care how much they spent and whether it was legal or moral or a massive waste of taxpayers' money. And I don't want to know why I should care, OK?

I mentioned yesterday that Dan Choi had been dismissed from the army after publicly outing himself on National Television. Last night, the Rachel Maddow show - which is my only source of news outside my LiveJournal friendspage - had Dan back on to talk about his dismissal.

This is unsurprising but sad news.
Lieutenant Dan Choi, the National Guard soldier who publicly came out live on national television, has been dismissed from duty.

He was dismissed for "homosexual conduct".
