Including the four pound charge that British Airways levied on me for paying with a credit card... I ended up forking over £1680!!! I'll recover (emotionally and financially eventually) but I will need a lie down and some encouragement to spend money on groceries this weekend.

Commiserations about your plants, but you're not alone. Our tomatoes will be green forever and our lettuce plants are also in a quagmire although they have more drainage than yours.

Holy moly....£1500! That's even more than we paid about 2 years ago at Christmas time too.

Good luck with the interview....and the knitting! I once knit half a jumper, which my mother eventually ripped out and then proceeded to knit something else!

Shame about the tomatoes le sigh. The flight price is insane. I've never ever been privy to a cheap airfare. I don't know who ends up with them but it's not me that's for sure.

Oooh, you're going to be a celebrity houseboat owner soon, aren't you?! :-p Hope it's a nice journalist, and that it'll be a good article. I certainly enjoyed talking to you, when I did the interview with you :-)

And whoa, can't believe those flight prices. I shall never complain about Ryanair again!!
