The weather was great and the music was cool!  Talked to a lot of people.  Missed talking to a few as well.  Sorry Anton, our paths just didn't cross but I did notice your hair is getting a little too long; time for a cut don't ya think? ;-)

How cool were the Pixies?

Zero degrees Kelvin (-273C!).  Yep, they were absolute zero on the cool rating.  I am hungover and sore all over but even WWIII wouldn't wipe the smile off my face.  I was saying to everyone last night, "kill me now - my life is complete!".

Last night Sue and I went to see the Lemonheads.  Another fine evening was had by all.  Even if it was marred by many technical and physiological difficulties.

We went to Fast Eddies for a feed and a beer first and then, with time to kill, we popped into Carniegies for a quick pint.  Man!  Only "doof doof" music was playing so we decided to commit ( Read more... )

Tonite I made Chicken Katsu Curry.  I was inspired to make this after having it at Wagamamas - it's delicious.

Anyhoo, all you need for the sauce is Japanese Curry Cubes; just melt in hot water.  The chicken is crumbed using Japanese bread crumbs (panko) the same way you would crumb things normaly (dip in flour, then egg, then coat with the crumbs) ( Read more... )

BUT last night Sue and I went to see the Josh Fontaine and Joe Bludge split 7" single launch.  I was fairly tired and actually wanted to pull the pin on going but Sue's enthusiasm got to me in the end and I happily went along.

It's been a fairly uneventual week but it's been difficult to get back into the swing of things after such a great camping trip.

After a few drinks, we were sitting in the peaceful night, when Sue looked up and said, "Oh my God - look at all the stars!".  (Reminiscent of what David Bomwan said in Asimovs "2001: A Space Odyssey"; hence this posts title. :-) )
