The sign, reading "Riverton Toy Garden" in bright primary colored block lettering, outside the store swung wildly in the wind. Inside, the walls were green and the shelves filled with whirring, twirling and buzzing toys. A train set dominated one corner of the store, a puppet rack another. Costumes of all styles and sizes lined one wall, giving children the opportunity to play the part of a knight one day, the next a woodland fairy. Vintage toys styled after 1930s amusements sat alongside modern technological wonders. Wooden airplanes, carefully constructed with only a hint of glue showing, hung from the ceiling, and magnetic snakes stuck to all possible surfaces in the store.

Basically? It was awesome.

But Fred Weasley was bored.

Two of his co-workers were hogging the Wii, he had already acted out two different Shakespearan plays with the puppets, and his favorite traincar had been bought the day before by an excitable three year old boy.

There were two hours before the redhead's lunch break, six hours before he could go home. All Fred could think about was sliding back into his computer chair and talking to his family some more. (Although that would probably lead to him getting only three hours of sleep, AGAIN, and also fielding odd questions from his mum about the 'sheepboy.' Fred needed to learn to keep his mouth shut. Or his fingers quiet. Both!)

Closing his eyes, Fred leaned on the front counter in the Riverton Toy Garden and rubbed his temples. Maybe he could construct a model of the Eiffel Tower using pick-up sticks. That would be fun. Or maybe he could drown himself in his tiny cup of coffee. So many options, so little time. Wait, that wasn't right. So few options, so much time. Augh.

drudgeryyy, verse: palooza, he's a cowboy!, !rp
