The caption on the photo says that it's an Iraqi POW trying to comfort his child. It's unclear whether this is Guantanamo Bay or some prison camp in Iraq or Afganistan. But that hood is American Military issued.

You're missing the point entirely. There is NO excuse for that. NONE. I don't CARE if that father was an extremist. You just DON'T FUCKING do that to a child.

Also, if I were that father, even if I wasn't an extremist before, I would make it my personal mission in life to hunt down and kill everyone responsible for this. So, way to make a terrorist out of someone who may not have even been one in the first place.
