THERE'S ONLY BEEN YOU(Epilogue)
Though He thought he would never come back to this place again, it never crossed his mind that if things had turned up and he must come again, he never thought it would be for ‘This Day’.
He never thought he could be this happier. That this type of euphoria did exist.
Sometimes, he kept on wondering if this was just a dream, that in any moment he would wake up alone in his bed. That terrified him that much that sometimes he would spent the night awake, watching his boyfriend sleeping. That was creepy, he knew that, but who could blame him if he was freaking out sometimes? He was just human, human who had been through a lot in his life. So he was allowed to freaked out once in awhile, wasn’t he?
It only took for them less than a week from that night at Allison’s party for Adam to moved in with Kris in their old apartment. Kris, with his puppy dog eyes, lured Adam in moving in with him, instead of the other way around. Though they came into an agreement that they would find a house, bought it together and moved in after everything was settled. That was the first thing they bought as a couple, and it only took them a month and a half to do it.
Looking back at howthe time flew so fast, Adam let out a contented smile and glanced over at the love of his that was laying down, tangled with sheets, on their bed. The sight of Kris, peacefully sleeping, looking so happy with his dream, warmed Adam’s heart. It was almost 5 months since they were back together, but until now, he sometimes still couldn’t believe it. He loved him so much and he would stay
that way for the rest of his life. He was so lucky to be with someone that he truly loved, to spent the rest of his life with someone he was in loved with. And he couldn’t thank the universe enough for this chance at happiness. That he surely couldn’t have if it wouldn’t be with Kris.
He looked out the big French window again, looking at where his love story with the man laying on the bed started. It was in this mansion that he first met the Jerk Kris Allen. It wasn’t really a good start, but they found their way into each other’s heart. It was in this mansion where he first fell in love, and since that day, he was still in love with the same person until now. It was in this mansion where he had his first kiss, and it was in this room where he totally gave himself to Kris.
And now they were back here, after so many years of being away, they still would come back to where it all began. And it was so fucking great to be back here, he didn’t realized that, not before he stepped out the car and stood at the ground in front of the Allen’s mansion.
They’d been here for 4 days now, but it seemed it was only an hour since they’d arrived here. Their time here was running and they needed to hop the plane in the morning to continued their journey.
That day was the happiest day in Adam and Kris’ life. They had been happy, surrounded by their closest friends and family. They couldn’t asked for more and it was written all over their faces how happy and grateful they were. It was truly a blessing if you could have everything you want in your life and be contented with it.
‘’Babe?’’ Kris whispered at his back, he wrapped his arm around Adam’s naked belly from the back and pressed his face in Adam’s back. Adam felt suddenly warm, he was only in his pyjama bottoms without a shirt. He felt Kris was giving his back a small kisses, and his breath was ghosting in it. That send shivers to his spine that made him held Kris’ hands that were on his middle. ‘’What’re you thinking?’’
Adam let out a deep breath, ‘’You.’’ He simply replied.
‘’But I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere. Not without you by my side.’’ Kris said in his sexy sleepy voice.
‘’You better be, because I’m not letting you go, ever again. you’re stuck with me.’’
‘’Good, because I’m just planning on sticking with you.’’
‘’I never thought I could be this happy, babe. I once thought this day would never happen to me. The day that I would promise you my eternal love, in front of our friends and family, gave you my vow at the place we first met and fell in love. I just couldn’t believe how lucky I am to have you back.’’ Adam was playing with the band on Kris finger that was identical with his. It was just less than 7 hours ago when they both put it in each other’s fingers, but it felt like they were already married a lifetime ago.
‘’Babe,’’ Kris started, he pulled himself from Adam and stand right in front of him. he reached for his husband’s hand, rubbed the band on his left ring finger, lifted it up and kissed it. ‘’I promised to love you until the day I die. And if I have a chance to live again, I would never change anything. I would still have you as my Best friend, my Lover, my Husband. I love you so much.’’
‘’and I promise to stand by you, babe, through thick and thin. I would never make the same mistakes that I did before. I would never do anything to lose you again. I can’t live without you, babe. It is you that I breath for. I love you, too.’’
Adam leaned down and kissed his husband, Kris pulled his neck down to deepened it that made Adam melt on his feet. They kissed under the moonlight, still high on the adrenaline they had that day. That day, 50 of their closest friends and families were gathered to witnessed their union before the sunset. That it only took them 5 months from that night they reunited again to finally tie the knot. Heck, it
only took them less than 30 minutes to be engaged. Though there wasn’t any famous line like ‘will you marry me?’ with them when Kris put on the ring to Adam, no, it was Adam who demanded Kris to put the ring on his finger. It was like an unspoken proposal with an unspoken acceptance. With Kris and Adam, it wasn’t always the mouth talked, with them it usually their heart’s do the talking. And they did understand each other with just one look.
Suddenly Adam asked, ‘’Babe, when we get back from Paris next week, are we going to move to our new house?’’ his voice was so excited that Kris could feel the giddiness on it.
‘’Yeah, absolutely. I’ll miss our old apartment though.’’ Kris planted his head on Adam’s chest, hugging him.
‘’Me too. But it’s time to move on, we would make lots of memories in our new one.’’ He kissed Kris’ head. Kris suddenly stiffened for a while, pulled himself from Adam’s warm embrace and headed to the sound system. Adam watched him curiously as he put on a CD and walked back to him.
‘’You said, we would be making new memories. But I always love to relive an old one, an old sappy one.’’ The soft music that was so familiar, that always bring smile to his face, brought memories back, was playing softly. But Adam admittedly never heard of it again since their first year anniversary in their crappy apartment here in Conway. ‘’Will you dance with me, Babe?’’
‘’We will relive an old sappy memories, but we would continue to make lot of a new sappy ones. And yes, I will dance with you, babe. Only you.’’
As the song was softly played, they clung into each other and began to sway. Kris put his hands aroundAdam’s neck while Adam gripped onto his husband’s waist. Adam never intend on letting go of that grip, whatever happens, he would hold onto Kris forever. As he stared intensely at his husband’s brown eyes, Adam knew Kris was thinking the same, that they would hold on to each other ... forever. Adam couldn’t help but tear up.

Note 1: My little story here has finally come to an end. This fic was like a rollercoaster ride as I’ve always said.
That when sometimes I reread some chapters, I’d just stop and wondered how the heck I’ve written such an emotional story like this. I’ve always loved to read angsty fics, but I never thought I could actually write one.
