It’s been a while since I asked a parking meter for directions or tried to carry on a conversation with a lamp post, mistaking them for people. Yet these things happen to me on what seems to be a regular basis. Everything I see is an illusion. It is, all of it, there but also not there. Oh, I bet you really hate it when sighted people ask you how much you can see. It's probably like a never ending explanation. Lol I think I get it though, and your vision doesn't seem helpful in the slightest.

Trust me, being a total makes it no less sane. Or maybe it's because I need to know about everything going on. I once thought a guy clipping his nails in his car was some weird new species of insect and spent five minutes tracking it before my mom stopped me from humiliating myself.
Your convos with the lamposts made me smile. I do that too.

That's funny about the nail clipping. Since I can't see far or well at all I have experiences like that too. I once started screaming when a hummingbird was flying around my head because it sounded like a giant bug. lol.

Thank you so much. If I can bring about some awareness than I think I'm doing good. I'm so glad I have a dog to make walking the streets easier. I can ignore some of the crazy things I think I see and just follow my dog.
