It's bizarre to be back in a room that I haven't been in in over six months, that hasn't changed. A room that is arguably less home than a white box in south side Chicago. I didn't even realize really how disconnected I am from everyone back home until today. I mean, that is kind of what I wanted when I moved half way across the country. every physical thing that i'm proud of, that i want to remember from the last four years, and older, fit in less than half of one of the drawers under my bed. i'm unsure whether thats exciting for the future or makes me really depressed.
