[The PORTAL turns on, surprisingly, when you first wake up this morning. There is no sense of malice or terror, no worry or fears being broadcast. Instead, what meets your eyes are the king and queen, seated together, hands interlaced between them. Despite all that has happened, they wished to try and return the city to its normal self.
So it is Tivorno who speaks first.]
In light of recent events, we wish to briefly address what many have faced this past month. This city is a place of welcoming and humility; it is your home. We do not wish for you to think we dwell in madness or terror, because that is not why we are here. We aim for peace, both my wife and I, and until recently, there have been no qualms to test this.
We grieve for your suffering, and we feel your pain. But now is the time to put such sorrows behind us and take part in the tradition of Ritornare da Fias. Let these festivities be the herald of much peace and happiness to come in Promenade’s future.
[The both of them smile, excitement in their eyes, as the sounds of happy laughter can be heard outside the castle walls. People have begun parading and celebrating the holiday, and the festivities are now underway.]
