[What comes on the PORTAL isn’t something you see often- it’s the interior of the castle, and it’s one of the long and tall hallways that is frequently visited by the king and queen. In the middle are two figures who don’t fit the royalty’s height or caliber, but it’s not like that matters to them. You can hear their talking as the feed listens in ( Read more... )

Hey, mind telling us the 'limit' to what we can dream up here?

...You know, once you're finished with your wrestling match. Tell me who wins.

Uhhh, well- it depends on what you're trying to think up. You can't bring in people or buildings, and dangerous stuff is out of the question too. Things that would harm the city. So stuff like bombs and explosives and really big havoc-causers won't be allowed. You might get a paperweight for your efforts, though.

That's obvious. I won.

I think little ones are okay, though. Like grenades. ... Sometimes.

Wha-- Hey, you did not!

Yeah, grenades are okay. As long as it's not like one of those things that blows up a bunch of buildings at once. Dynamite, I think it was called.

Hey, I was talking to Dorky Hair Hero first! And yes, I did too!

Why would you limit what people can dream?

Safety of the city, mostly. Genero is a tightwad who does nothing but whine about everyone being horrendous or evil or wanting to destroy us all. He's a bit nuts.

Anyway, the Unnatural placed barriers and spells that prevent drastic measures from occurring. So a lot of the big and nasty stuff stays away.

Besides, dreaming up people just kind of seems weird, doesn't it?

Most of the time. Sometimes things break through, or residents go off the deep end.

Don't "humans dream up" people all the time? In normal dreams.

[Sigh.] I had thought the princes of this city might conduct themselves in a manner more befitting of royalty during their public appearances.

Perhaps next time I'll not be mistaken.

Well it's not like we knew we were appearing publicly.

[ Speaking of men with sticks up their asses... ]

For some portion of your message, however unintentionally it may have been initiated, it seemed that you did.

Yeah, but it'd be a bit stupid to just stop acting normally. [ Besides, Frederick started it. ]

We're twins. It happens.

I guess that depends on what you mean.

Best kind.

Well, I don't really think they're good ideas, but I don't really think they're bad? Our parents are ruling, so they're the ones who make the rules. We'll probably change it when we rule, but until then, I'm not too bothered by it.

Um... How are we supposed to know what we can and can't imagine up if we were never told?

What, your memories haven't come back yet?
