To save some money I've started to save vegetable scraps to make my own veg. broth and today was my first attempt. I just threw all the frozen scraps with garlic, salt, and water then boiled and simmered it for two hours, strained it, and saved $15 on the chili and butternut squash soups I made today.

If you like coffee shops... There's a new one called Second Cup Cafe in Allston between Harvard Ave and Linden St. on Brighton Ave. The food is delicious, the honey mustard, tuna and brie sandwich, orchard harvest salad (apples, mixed greens, feta cheese, and walnuts), and vanilla latte were so good yesterday that I went back and got it again ( Read more... )
