Hey, I don't mind at all. If I remember correctly, I used Pillsbury's Devil Food box mix for the cake and used Ener-G Egg replacer. Some of my friends use Duncan Hines box.

For the icing, I used my family's recipe called Anne's Icing.
1 lb (box) Confectioner's sugar 10x, sifted
1 cup (16T) white shortening (I use Crisco all-vegetable shortening)
1/4 cup water
1/2t flavoring- lemon, almond, or vanilla

If you're serving hard-core vegans, your best bet is to try to find a confectioner's sugar that isn't bleached (most companies use bone-char to bleach the sugar) and they may even have a problem with a box mix that says it may contain eggs or milk (just means it's processed with other mixes that actually contain these ingredients).
