My alt!Language macroz, let me show you them

Apparently, I can do either funny or non-English. Attempt at both may result in brainz implosion.

Could you just trust me that it's much funnier if you make up your own translation?
If not, there's alt text with mouse-over.

What kind of shoes is he wearing in the last one? They are magical!

Ghillie brogues, traditional kilt shoes.

Oooooooooh.

Damn, now I feel I've failed my ancestors by not knowing that. :(

Dinna fash yersel, darlin', it's no common knowledge. Repeat "Real men wear kilts" three times and I'm sure they'll forgive you.

Hindi!

*Claps hands cheerfully, sets to translating*

Did you find the proper lettering or make it using computer magic?

I have devanagari font, but I double checked it with other sources. Writing hindi by hand is a lot easier than attempting to type it on an english keyboard.

Have fun translating the last word on the first macro! :P Psst...Go ahead and cheat, mouse-over the pic for alt-text answers.

I'm proud to say that I worked out the first one without looking at the alt-text, but had to cheat for the second.

In some ways it's harder reading an English word in Hindi; I can still remember when my Mum asked some relatives to bring a Hindi cookbook from India, only to find ethnic dishes such as 'lasagne' and 'roasted mushrooms'!

Yay you! Even after two years of lessons, my hindi is pretty much limited to basic niceties and conversations pertaining to food or movies.

Are you trying to tell me the accordion isn't a traditional Indian instrument?! ;)

LOL at the cookbook. If they were at least curried mushrooms...

Mmm, Nine/Rose kissage . . .

No, that's all I've got to say.

To be honest, that was pretty much the only point of that one.
Well. And it was a phrase I was sure I could spell.

Your icon reminds me of the newspaper bit in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

OMG! I can't read these, but you are made of 100% win for having a picture of David Tennant in a kilt! With ghillies! The Kilt of Rassilon causes me to use too many exclamation points!

*fans self*
