Rewatched this episode at my grandma's house because always putting on Hell House by 'less scary' quotient default can get old (for her; for me, I could watch that episode on loop, man, prank wars = FTW). So I popped in Provenance and wow, I think I really do love the episode a lot. Because Sam's so inherently SAM-ish and dorky cute. Matchmaker!

That grey henley shirt of Dean's is my favourite of his that isn't the brown Night Shifter Plaid. It's, like, just perfectly almost too small for him. RAWR. Also I imagine that in reality it's some swanky over-priced shirt that's impossibly soft.

Dude. DUUUUDE. THIS WHOLE SET. They have the bestest brotherly dynamic happening in this episode. The way Dean prefaces his "Jess wouldn't want you to be unhappy" speech KILLS ME. The lack of Dean sarcasm, and the way Sammy doesn't fight it because HE KNOWS IT'S TRUE is so freakin' effective. OH, BOYS!
And Sarah! Loved Sarah! And loved that they actually took the time to have her interact with both boys. I'm a firm believer that the way they shunned Sam from having much at all to do with Jo (pre-BUaBS, of course) was one of the reasons many people found her offensive.

I love rewatching old episodes and picking up things I never noticed before! (Because normal rewatch = fun, finding new things? Makes me feel less insane for watching over and over. Yay!)
Dean is so funny throughout this episode, I love it, and his expression in that cap you pointed out! Ha, just after he's all trying to say 'provenance' and talking about Sarah checking Sam's ass. Awesome.
I freaking love that shirt on him. It's tight and soft-looking, I agree. He needs to wear shirts like that more often. They seem more like a Sam thing. I dunno. The default Dean look (in my head) is outer shirt & a t-shirt. Tight long sleeved one? Fantastic.

Hahah! Oh man, TOTALLY. And I bet there's a TON of things I've missed too, cause I tend to spend lots of time with caps, but not so much with the actual rewatching of episodes. There isn't time for both! But when you only ever look at caps you miss out on that whole dialogue thing.
You know about the blooper in this one where Jensen says "Jared" instead of "Sam", right? I can only sort of hear it, but I choose to believe it's true on account of it being adorable.

Oh yeah. I hate it when that happens too! I can see why people would complain about S2 especially because of that. In the sense that sometimes the funny stuff would go a little overboard but um. Hey, I can tolerate to an extent.
I always think of long-sleeved shirts in general as a Sam thing (especially layered under t-shirts. BLESS HIM FOR THAT)

She was pretty and she made him smiiile. Better yet? Taylor and Jared seemed to get along really well (if bloopers are anything to go by) which made the chemistry even more sizzling.
