Just to elaborate on my uber-short review and to comment on yours. OK, so it's also a bit of a rant, pardon me ( ... )

That's okay, you gave me an excuse to test drive my shiny new icon! :)

Fair points all. I think I want 10 to have a good ending, so I'm trying to not look too hard at the flaws lest I start getting back to the anger I felt on Xmas Day.

And don't even get me started on that new logo.... Pfft.

What's the betting the amount of Ten/George and Jack/George fic will have triple by the weekend? *grin* It was also pretty funny that both George and Nina were in that ep! XD

ETA: Oh, and Geronimo? Does the Doctor really need a catchphrase? I mean, yeah Allons-y was funny, but it was uniquely Ten, like the jelly babies were Four. Geronimo is just... naff.

The ending was overly sentimental, yeah, but how perfect was it that he got to look up Joan's grand-daughter? OK, so logically he's a timetraveller and could have looked up Joan herself, but... still. I love that she's up there with the rest.

Oh absolutely! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the concept that I found overly sentimental, it was just a little drawn-out, perhaps unnecessarily so.

I thought that too, but I guess he was scared that she wouldn't be happy, or seeing him again would be too painful for her? *shrugs*

while I thought setting up Jack with Alonso was a sweet gesture, it didn't feel right somehow I kind of had that. Does it make me a bad person that I was just glad that my TW/HL AU fanon/canon wasn't jossed completely? *g*

I think I'm going to like Eleven, but we shall see come spring.

I think everyone has loved Wilf and specifically the Doctor's scenes with him.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Cribbins FTW! (ooh, that needs to be an icon)

Does it make me a bad person that I was just glad that my TW/HL AU fanon/canon wasn't jossed completely?

Yes. A very bad person *grin*

*g* I've heard some think that the Woman was Susan, but I don't see how it could have been her, since the first Doctor left Susan on Earth in the future.

I'm quasi optimistic about 11, mostly because RTD is gone. I didn't like the implication that while the Doctor can save/give his companions happiness, the best he can do for Jack is get him laid. I find that insulting. Also am with you on the Martha/Mickey thing.

Also yeah, confused about Rassilon. I'm going to toke that up to RTD wanting to pretend like he knows something about Classic Who and hadn't just ruined the Time Lords by making them into comic book villains.

*snorfle* Yeah, Rusty does love reminding everyone of his fanboy credentials, doesn't he?

I think Moffat can do good things with 11, if he gets a chance. After all he did write most of 10's best eps. IMHO anyway. :)
