Doctor Who

Although I'm fairly certain everyone already knows this was David's swansong, so that's not exactly a spoiler, there may be those who don't know and I don't want angry Whovians on my back!

*bawls like a baby*

I don't want you to go either *sniffle*

That said, 11 felt like a mix of 5 and 2 IMHO (and yes, it was only a few seconds so it's very hard to judge and he may be completely different in the spring) and having seen him in action I'm starting to warm to him. Can't wait to see what Moffat has in store for him. Although, Daleks? Again? Really? (But I am looking forward to the return of the Weeping Angels *shiver*)

As for this ep, it was soooo much better than the first one that I forgive RTD, he managed to pull it out of the bag. Loved all the scenes between Wilf and 10, but then Rusty has always done the emotion well. It got a little confusing for me, having not followed the BF audio series. Rassilon? Huh? He was rotting in a tomb last I knew (in The Five Doctors) and who was the woman? Was it Romana? (methinks yes) Not answering that wasn't clever, it was just bloody annoying!

I thought the end got a little mawkish, and while I thought setting up Jack with Alonso was a sweet gesture, it didn't feel right somehow. Maybe I was just projecting my desire for Ten and Jack to kiss (mainly because any flirting between Jack and 11 would be wrong), or maybe I wanted him to just go over to him and comfort him. After all, if anyone understands what he's gone through it's the Doctor.

So yeah, it was flawed but it was a much better sendoff than I feared it might be. Bye bye 10. *toddles off to find the BF audiobooks so I can find out what I've missed*

Oh, and Being Human is back on BBC3 in nine days *woops*

Edited to add: WTF was that about with Mickey/Martha?! What happened to Tom? And freelance? Pur-leeese. *tuts*
