Just to elaborate on my uber-short review and to comment on yours. OK, so it's also a bit of a rant, pardon me:
I loved all the bits with 10 and Wilf. Love Wilf. Loved the twist of 'He will knock four times', painful as it was, but really, it should've ended there. Far far too long, too drawn-out sentimental ending, and I actually came away feeling rather numb.
To me the whole ep felt rather disjointed and forced, as if Rusty was trying to piece together too many things, some sucessfully (all of the sound of drums related stuff), and some badly (time lock?!, oh lets randomly slip in George, er Alonso). I think he was trying to have his cake and eat it - Donna there, but just as background - what a waste, and Mickey/Martha?! WTF indeed.
...and I'm beginning to sound like a party pooper, I know. Sorry. I actually liked part 1, and part 2 had plenty of good bits, it just didn't quite work for me. I thought I was going to be more upset than I was after seeing Children of Earth, but it just didn't have that kind of emotional impact. Maybe it wasn't suposed to.
Still reserving judgement on 11, but superficially i'm not encouraged by the by-numbers montage teaser trailer - Daleks? Tick. Kissing Companion? Tick... Well, Matt S was cast for a reason, so I've just got to wait and see. :)

And egads, sorry for venting over your pretty shiny journal, hon!

That's okay, you gave me an excuse to test drive my shiny new icon! :)

Fair points all. I think I want 10 to have a good ending, so I'm trying to not look too hard at the flaws lest I start getting back to the anger I felt on Xmas Day.

And don't even get me started on that new logo.... Pfft.

What's the betting the amount of Ten/George and Jack/George fic will have triple by the weekend? *grin* It was also pretty funny that both George and Nina were in that ep! XD

ETA: Oh, and Geronimo? Does the Doctor really need a catchphrase? I mean, yeah Allons-y was funny, but it was uniquely Ten, like the jelly babies were Four. Geronimo is just... naff.
