Agreed on both Harry&Ginny and the Twilight stuff. But especially on Harry&Ginny. They always sort of felt out of place for me. Even Harry/Cho has made more sense.
Completely! I ♥ Sheldon/Penny. The main reason I don't like these ships is because 3/5 of the time I ship one of them with someone else, lol. But I didn't say that.
Everything you said about Arthur/Gwen. Everything. Is so completely true and is one of the qualms I have with the show. The writers are just...ridiculous. I still like the pairing because, all right, it's cute, but it's completely unrealistic.
Also agree with Harry/Ginny and Edward/Bella. And I would have put Ron/Hermione up there too. Hermione is a genius and Ron is a moronic prat - I don't think it would take long for Hermione to get tired of him.
Well, I was trying to have one pairing from each fandom. Also, I like Ron/Hermione, but I can see how people wouldn't.
Like I said, I could have dealt with A/G if they'd done a better job. I ship Arthur/Merlin, and I know they're not going to happen, but I just can't find many redeeming things about A/G because it doesn't make sense to me.
AGREED on harry/ginny and edward/bella. i like arthur/gwen, but understand your reasoning. i like them mainly because how can one not ship angel/bradley? haha since they reset arthur's personality, his kindness for gwen is the only thing redeeming thing about him because he's such a huge ass. i want them to do more with gwen independently, i'd love to get to know her.
In S1, I really liked Gwen, because she had the potential to be an awesome character. But now it seems like her only purpose is to look at Arthur all moony-eyed and tell him he needs to be a better person, and I don't like her very much at all. And he was doing just fine in S1! It was like the writers decided to redo all of his character development so it looks like he's changing for Gwen. It irks me.
see, i never saw it as "for gwen" maybe that's why i don't mind the relationship, i wasn't sure if they would come around to gwen/arthur legend, but i was excited if they would but figured they would do it more naturally, there was no need for the schizophrenia. the re-set for his personality really pissed me off though for reasons other than arthur/gwen! i really liked arthur and merlin's friendship and i thought it and he had grown so much and s2 they were all...oh, never mind. that shiz gave me whiplash. i was going to complain about dropping the merlin and gwen friendship too until he went to her with his gaius problems. if they don't maintain that, i'm bustin heads.
The reason I see his change as "for Gwen" is because while he treats her a little better than he used to, and not so much as a servant (though to be honest he never treated her that badly), he still treats Merlin like crap. I had hoped that, after 1x13, Arthur and Merlin's relationship would be pretty steady, as close to friends as they can get with the difference in their status. But then S2 comes along and Arthur is just horrible to Merlin, and I just...No! Bad!
