HP books are told in third person xD, not from Harry's point of view, but I complete agree with the Edward/Bella. the fangirl development so many girls have is really unhealthy @.@"

The HP books are written in 3rd person limited, which is the same as writing from 1st person, without the use of "I", since the only head you get inside of is Harry's.

Sorry, that's the English major in me. XD

Yes, but boys are stupid, and don't actually know what they want until it's gone. That's how I always reasoned the ship.

Yeah, okay, fair point, but it really bothered me that then we never got to see them together. They dated for, like, a chapter, and all we got to see of them as a couple was them sitting together in the common room. After that, everything revealed about their relationship was via flashback, and it's like, "Should I care that he misses this? Because I never got to see it."

LOL I totally agree with you!
Edward/Bella + Harry/Ginny = FAIL. I totally love your reasoning for both.
I don't know the others but 'm sure I would agree with you if I watched them! :P

As far as Harry ending up alone, as a romantic I personally never like that scenario. I know the hero typically walks alone but I think they need love to keep going and helping people (same for Kyle XY). I totally understand why it can be a more fulfilling ending if they end up alone but I like a happy ending. :)

He can still be happy alone, lol, but I get your point. I'm a romantic, too, and if it had been Ginny the whole time, I would have been rooting for them, but it was just like, "No...let's have her come out of nowhere in the sixth book! That sounds like fun!" It's because JKR wrote the epilogue first and then tried to make her story fit to it.

It seems kind of pointless to comment, since you already know my ships, but S/P FTW!

"I feel that the Merlin writers have done a terrible job at developing their relationship. Ignoring the fact that Arthur/Morgana was heavily promoted in season 1 only to be completely abandoned, Arthur and Gwen had approximately four conversations before "falling in love"."

THIS!!!

I'm one of those people who can swallow pretty much any storyline as long as it's sold to me in a believable manner.

Arthur/Gwen? Not so much.

I couldn't agree more about Harry & Ginny - I didn't mind in the book so much but then the movie was AWFUL! It was literally like 2 seconds in they hugged & then there was a look & I thought WTF? Also, it was like all of a sudden he was in love with her. At least in the book it was explained in more detail but still....it was weird.

That's the same with me! In the book, it was like, "Okay, whatever", but they made Ginny such a whore in the movie! She feeds him and ties his shoes for him, and I'm supposed to find that romantic? It's creepy! She didn't throw herself at him in the book.
