Question about .gif-making (text appearing at different times &)

I'm using Photoshop CS5 Extended, and I've been wondering for a while now whether there are any easier ways to create

this kind of thing )

Not sure about the text but you can hold the shift key down and select the start and end of the frames you want to delete, instead of selecting each one individually.

Hope that makes sense :)

omg, thank you so much! If this was a comic, a huge light bulb would've just appeared above my head. I've tried it so many times but I always held control down too, for some reason. :D

I don't know with CS5 but at least with Imageready you can play with the visibility of different layers (in this case the text layers) using the "eye" icon that appears next to the layer... put the text layers first, then select the layers where you want the text to appear and click the "eye" in the text layer, then select the layers where you don't want the text to appear and unselect the "eye" in the text layer.
I hope this can be applied to CS5 in some way ^^U
