I love this chapter because Nicco and Brooke are so real, just as messed up as anyone, and it's really sad :(

And I felt so torn up because I feel so bad for Brooke, knowing how hurt and in over her head she is, even though Nicco's talk to her was certainly necessary, I think.

I'm really enjoying the dynamic between Nicco and Brooke, though. Like other reviewers, I will say that this chapter went fast, I barely noticed the lack of Bill or Laura, and that's even with the shameless A/R shipper in me standing on the sidelines!

Like other reviewers, I will say that this chapter went fast, I barely noticed the lack of Bill or Laura, and that's even with the shameless A/R shipper in me standing on the sidelines!

This is great news--it was our primary concern with this chapter. I'm really happy you enjoyed it despite Bill and Laura not being physically there, just there in other less tangible ways. Thanks for letting us know it worked for you.

The next chapter will go less quickly, I think. :)

I really enjoyed the Nicco insight, here. Especially how Brooke thinks, "Sometimes I wonder how this guy can go through life so detached", and then hears the story about the designer. That's your how and why, Brooke.

I'm glad Brooke has Nicco, and Nicco has Brooke, even if this story's going to have a teary ending.

That last line was dirty pool, though. *sniffle*

I... I like this chapter. Without any negative feelings whatsoever! Woot! See, I knew it would be worth it to continue reading.
Nicco is suddenly the voice of reason! I've always liked the character, but even more so in this chapter. It's good that someone in the story finally recognizes what's going on, and isn't afraid to say it aloud. Brooke needed to hear it, even if it hurts. Now if only Adama could get his shit together, lol.

But damn it, I had something else I really wanted to say, but now I've forgotten what it was...
