Well, we got the call last night from CA that we were not chosen for the jobs and so once again I begin my search. We are trying to focus on the positives and not dwell on the negatives but right now it's kinda hard. Timmy and I just got back from a walk in the rain. I'm glad that he doesn't mind dealing with a little precipitation. He thought it was fun to get a little wet. "Timmy wet" and "It's raining" were phrases spoken a lot. It's great to see him learning more about the world around him and being able to describe it as well. I just saw a few hours ago that Paul Newman died. Totally took me by surprise. "The Sting" is one of my favorite movies. I think that he was a great actor, a great human being, and a great husband (Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward were married for over 50 years in Hollywood! That's crazy talk!). He will be missed.

Well, we fly back to Milwaukee tomorrow morning and overall this trip has been a success. While we do not have an answer back from CUI as of yet, we've decided to see that as a good thing. We have been in contact with the human resources director and she said she has not been able to meet with everyone yet because the board of regents was on ( Read more... )

On August 31 we were able to get together with a lot of our friends that we haven't seen since Dave and Andrea's wedding at the end of May. For the first time since our zoo pass expired in May, Timmy and I went to the zoo last Wednesday. We parked on the street and walked to the zoo. Timmy invented a new game on the way to the zoo that he has continued to play every day since. For the past few weeks I've been taking advantage of the Milwaukee Public Museum on Mondays. Mondays are free for Milwaukee County residents and Timmy is free anyway so I figure why not. If I park on the street then I only pay $2 for 2 hours parking instead of the $2 per every 30 minutes like the parking garage. Seems like a deal to me ( Read more... )
