Getting Together with Friends
On August 31 we were able to get together with a lot of our friends that we haven't seen since Dave and Andrea's wedding at the end of May. Timmy was excited to meet Jacob, who is almost exactly one year younger than Timmy. The boys were not too interested in each other until dessert came out and there were little flags on the cupcakes. Then Lisa brought out some leftover flags from the 4th of July and Jacob and Timmy were best little buds. Amazing what flags can do. =)
I was able to actually talk to most of our friends which is a feat because Timmy normally requires a lot of attention. I was joking with Lisa (Jacob's mom) that at get togethers mom can really only talk to people for 2 minutes at a time because that's how long kids will stay still. It seems like most of our friends understand this now (or at least better than they did when we first had a mobile Timmy). It was a really good time and I'm glad that we went.
