(The fandoms mentioned are Biggles and Sherlock Holmes, but feels free to insert your homoerotic/bromancey/femmeancy fandom or pairing of choice, and it'll still be relevant.)

Only recently! I knew about its existence, but didn't actually watch it until the last year, when I borrowed a friend's DVD boxset - that and Blackadder. I'd seen some Blackadder before, but not all of it.

I'm well away from the main fandom wank centres, but bits do filter back and there's not a week goes by that I don't have to eyerol about something. As I've been eyerolling about fandom stuff since 1999, my eyes are tired, sheesh.

I think I've been eyerolling even longer than that (I got involved in The X Files fandom around 1995) so I hear you. Currently I'm skirting the very edges of the Supernatural fandom and - whoo boy. And people think Harry Potter is wanky.

I've been getting into Sherlock fandom recently and it seems to be filled with young idiots who don't get most of this.

It just makes me cringe.
