So, my Work For The Dole is ended. But I did get to take home the awesome circa 1984 IBM keyboard that I claimed a couple of months ago that I fucking ADORE. There's nothing like the clicking of an old, one-and-a-half kilo keyboard to take me right back to childhood

It's actually the money situation that's the greatest relief.

if she's using other covers (like PUL) as well then 3 is a good number.
if only wool then 5.
if they are lanolised well then you can swop the day and night ones for quite a while before they get at all wiffy. and you have the other 2 in the wash and one ready to go if there is a blow out.
(i did with 2 wool and 3 PUL for each stage, but that was bare minimum and i wished i had a couple more of each.)
so i have my nosiness on now. is she using modern cloth or traditional towelling squares? because obviously the more absorbent the nappy, the longer the soakers will go for.
eta. if there's a bit of stretch in them and the legs aren't too tight then they will last for maybe two stages of 'clothes' growth. (or more depending on the bub's shape.)

I don't think the newborn ones will last long. According to her, Buchanan women have big babies. Her nephew grew out of young infant clothes within two months.

HAPPY SAMHAIN! :D
And yeah, I'm not getting the Ruddollars either. Dammit. Oh well. Not like I'm any less poor really. :) VERY cool about Pippin though!
Nice work on the knitting. This granny square blanket I'm trying to put together for Mum's day is killing my fingers though! Ouch!

It's annoying. If they were giving money to disability pensioners then Emma would get a payment, but it's only old age pensioners. Not that I begrudge them the money, but it'd make it so much easier if some of that money was going to us, too.

Ugh, yeah. I think I got bruises last time I crocheted for a long stretch. It's like any kind of dexterous work; you need to build up some serious calluses if you don't want to be sore.

I am both a student and disabled. I've been doing carer type stuff for Mum for the last fourish years. And I get nuthin'. Hmph.
Definitely need to build up. My right thumb especially is quite cranky with me! :D
