It's very confusing. The organisations being shut down are not-for-profit, both religiously-affiliated and non. And they're being replaced by brand new, just-created, not-for-profit organisations. It's all happened very quickly - both organisations I deal with didn't find out until the last minute that they were being shut down - and nothing I've heard makes any sense as to why it's happening at all. After all, if it ain't broke...
