What to do?

I have a gigantic (almost, but not quite, 1 foot in diameter) ball of gorgeous yarn.  It's begging me to make something of it.  I can't quite make a decision on what to make though.  It's gorgeous dyed yarn, somewhat lightweight and perfectly smooshy.  It knits up beautifully.  And there's 1400 yards of it.  I could do a shawl, which would turn out

I LOVE shawls. I have yarn for one for myself that I have yet to start. Someday, when I actually have time again.
