Today was Laura's last day of freedom before joining the "dark side" (she's switching bookstore chains...the horrors!), and since we both had the day off, we got together. Of course, I still had to buy most of her presents run errands this morning, and I ran late, so I called her later than I wanted, but that was okay. Then I had some housework

I finished my errands and headed home for dinner. Got there right after 7pm. Headed to the grocery store around 7:45 to get a couple things and fill up my tank for tomorrow. When I arrived back home, I had a faint but painful headache. Which progressively got worse. While I was in the shower a short time ago, I seriously thought I might have to sit down, I was having serious half nauseous, half dizzy moments. I made it through, then got all hot and funny feeling when I got out, along with the killer headache (always nice to feel sweaty when you just finished a shower... :p). The computer is not helping, so off to bed I go, but OMG, if I get massively sick on my first day, I will cry. Or maybe I'm learning what a migraine feels like? Not that I really want to take on the wonderful world of migranes, but at least that'd be over by morning... PLEASE??!!??

Anyway, today was fun. Thanks for the awesome gifts :)

You could also have had the death flu. It's quick but it has its moments. I hope you woke up okay.

Were you sensitive to light and/or sound at the same time? Those are good clues to it being a migraine as opposed to the death flu. I rarely get vertigo with migraines--it's more of a really, really bad headache.

Or maybe it was a delayed reaction to that funky waitress. Whatever.
