We've started the month with an unusual cold snap. It's sunny today, but it snowed the two prior days. SNOWED. In APRIL. I mean, I know this happens, but it's usually for a few hours, it melts, it warms up again. Warm? Is not currently in our vocabulary. I mean, the snow started accumulating for a time yesterday; it coated the lawn when I got home, and I had to have my wipers on regular, not simply intermittent, during my ride home.
Funny how last year I recall taking pictures of the trees greening up...in February...due to an unusual warm snap. Ha-ha, not this year. My coworker, who works in the other building, nearly stole my sweater from me yesterday because, due to his job, he walks around in short sleeves. He looked out the window at the big flakes coming down and was all, give me your sweater! You have another layer on; you don't need it! Sorry, dude, I came to work prepared. You could have worn your jacket between the buildings, but noooo. This is why I watch the weather report. When they say the high will be in the upper 30s, I believe them and dress appropriately. Funny how that works.
And to think it'll be near 70F a week from now. Believe it when I see it, but man that will be nice. Seasonal highs should be in the 50s, for the record.
