Every Monday there is a managers' conference call for our district. I've taken the call once (whee--although my store *did* get called out to talk about something). Anyway, the managers talk about all sorts of stuff, ranging from books that are selling well to promotions to future plans. Today, there was mention of some kind of meeting. It is ( Read more... )

Ok, I'm gonna plan on you being ok with 7, unless I hear from you by 6:30pm. At that point I'm heading out, with the idea of being at your place around 6:50-ish to pick you up. So if there's a prob, then call me. I can just ditch you and let you come on your own when you're ready ;) heh. Oh, and interestingly, apparently Ted is also having a party on Friday. Whoo hoo!

You know, just gotta comment here... I know the family of the kid was hella weird and all, but OMG, how in the HELL did Michael Jackson end up not guilty of all charges.

Sounds like a plan. Papa probably would have left by then. And, if not, I'll just sneak away. :)

Eww...you mentioned Michael Jackson...that means three hours in my light- and sound-deprivation chamber. :P

Did you get to listen to the jurors at all? They only have to go on the facts presented to them, and one of them said, why would you let your child get into a bed with a strange man? That's all I remember at this point, but yeah. It's like handing them a box of matches and a can of gasoline--asking for trouble. Of course, it's also like saying a girl who wears revealing clothes is asking for catcalls--and worse--but if you're a parent your job is to look out for your child, not hoped that he gets the bad touch by a really famous dude so you can get tons of money and a giraffe out of him.

Ohhhhh Ooohhhh.... I want a giraffe... Nobody told me there was a giraffe involved!

Maybe I've got some repressed memories of that visit to Neverland I never had....
