Zomg! Die Fledermaus! Jealousy! I *hearts* it so! Performing with a group gives one such a good feeling, I know I miss the days of choir, where you knew everyone so well, and if you did a good performance, then the whole group would just be buzzing, and happy and etcetera. I think that if you get a good response from the audience then you feel as if you have done something worthwhile for the day, as well as being able to say "hey, look at us, we're awesome!" That and being able to release all of one's pent up emotions and grumbles into glorious song (or something) always makes you happy. My opinion anyway.
Also, seeing as how the movie is going to be like, SOOOO popular, and like SUCH a cult hit, the depressing future which you foresee is in fact that of anyone who is not involved in said movie. You wait and see. It WILL be great! *sings loudly about spies*
Um....and i don't think Die Fledermaus is a musical. Last time i checked it was an opera. but you know, WHATEVA! MHM GIRLFRIEND! *snaps fingers from side to side*
I know, and I think I did mention that. But consider: Opera themes: Two people fall in love. One or both die. Tragedy. Musical themes: People fall in love, are happy, dance and celebrate and everything works out funky-dory.
Fledermaus plot: People fall in love, are happy, dance and celebrate and everything works out funky-dory.
Btw what great honour is THIS!!! contactkennya coming down from his ivory tower of *snap snap girlfriend* to comment on the lowly journals of the commoners (or in this case, future cleaners [keep feeling inclined to say 'janitor' but refuse for moral reasons])
My current director calls it 'find the sense of deep pleasure'. It is the joy you get from working hard at something that is very rewarding. I tend to agree with him.
I agree also. And yes, I dance with your sister, who is most gracious and forgiving toward my lack of ability. Fortunately I step on everybody elses feet, not hers. Ian+dancing=mhmm okaaaaay...
And I am taught Aural by your other sister, so it's like one big Kilpatrick world for me at the moment!
Quite - I consider your presence on Lj as some consolation however, otherwise I would have spent hours publicly bemoaning the fact that my Kilpatrick world is all too incomplete. As it is, I bemoan this non-publicly, since my budgie and my herb garden are such a good listeners.
