Zomg! Die Fledermaus! Jealousy! I *hearts* it so! Performing with a group gives one such a good feeling, I know I miss the days of choir, where you knew everyone so well, and if you did a good performance, then the whole group would just be buzzing, and happy and etcetera. I think that if you get a good response from the audience then you feel as if you have done something worthwhile for the day, as well as being able to say "hey, look at us, we're awesome!" That and being able to release all of one's pent up emotions and grumbles into glorious song (or something) always makes you happy. My opinion anyway.
Also, seeing as how the movie is going to be like, SOOOO popular, and like SUCH a cult hit, the depressing future which you foresee is in fact that of anyone who is not involved in said movie. You wait and see. It WILL be great! *sings loudly about spies*
Excellent question, I only found out the date of the performances today, and the publicity posters are yet to be completed. I will tell everyone when they are available though, so you can all go 'umm, yeah, sure. Busy' (which I think I would prefer anyway!:S)
It is a good way of pointing up the weekly low, innit.
Yes, as you say the film will be a cult hit, but will this be enough to save me from ... hold on...
*looks intense* This score will have to be something really different, like shostakovich enters the musical theatre... to quote from a contemporary source:
Ia3n: Arrrgh. Emma: What's going on? Aaron: He's having a stroke. Emma: What? Aaron: Of GENIUS!
Ia3n: I see it... I see it! At last, the chance to do something important! etc.... I... see... a... line. Of. Beautiful girls... dressed as KGB troops, each one a gem! With leather boots, and whips on their hips, it's risque - dare I say, S and M! etc
Also, another thought for the OBJECT which's (the not-person version of 'whose' i've decided) identity we know know... When everyone is looking at the microfilm or what-eva, KGB YM is spying on them, and when he sees all this HORRIFFIC information he says to himself "Rastsvetali yabloni i grushi!* I must defect at once!" whereupon he gets in contact with GIRL, cueing the frenetic scene in the Mortlock wing. Is that a plausible plot-hole-filler? It may explain his defection (hmm) more thouroughly than the mere "i have morals" scenario of before. Hmm.
But of course, he WAS having moral issues before this, as demonstrated by the scene where she was being chased by the KGB and he saves her. BUT she doesn't know who he is! Or why he saved her! UNTIL library scene!!!! Because he has made up his mind then! It's suspenseful.

Why plural? Because it is the character for the playing card suit, along with clubs, spades and diamonds.

That sort of thing.
