I seem to have survived the second day of classes, and always have, so far. It might be surprising for any student to hear that school is more than a little stressful for the teachers - I won't say just as because there is the matter of perspective that makes the experiences of faculty and students different enough that a proper comparison cannot ( Read more... )

As if classes aren't traumatizing enough. Who would want to spend extra time with teachers? Especially if they don't even have a couch.

...I doubt that so much shenanigans happen in that one room, unless the grade school teachers haven't grown up any more than their students.

It has been said by someone somewhere that people in general do not emotionally grow much after high school, and I am wont to believe it.

There are exceptions, of course, but they were usually the particularly bright and mature children to begin with.

I agree with that statement. Most humans seem to stop developing quite earlier than they should.

In one sense or another, I am probably right. Perhaps I am more intelligent or mature than my peers, or perhaps I simply don't engage in whatever behaviors I see in other people and associate with such immaturity.

I'm sure I engage in other, equally undesirable behaviors but that makes my statements no less true.

Almost. I say this because there is a certain level of fooling around that one expects where boys are involved but does not tolerate from girls.
