I seem to have survived the second day of classes, and always have, so far. It might be surprising for any student to hear that school is more than a little stressful for the teachers - I won't say just as because there is the matter of perspective that makes the experiences of faculty and students different enough that a proper comparison cannot

...I doubt that so much shenanigans happen in that one room, unless the grade school teachers haven't grown up any more than their students.

It has been said by someone somewhere that people in general do not emotionally grow much after high school, and I am wont to believe it.

There are exceptions, of course, but they were usually the particularly bright and mature children to begin with.

I agree with that statement. Most humans seem to stop developing quite earlier than they should.

You assume yourself to be an exception, I am sure.

In one sense or another, I am probably right. Perhaps I am more intelligent or mature than my peers, or perhaps I simply don't engage in whatever behaviors I see in other people and associate with such immaturity.

I'm sure I engage in other, equally undesirable behaviors but that makes my statements no less true.

At least you see yourself in a reasonable light. Most humans do not, and prefer to self-aggrandize. Many to the point of absurdity.
