hahaha. It gets really bad when I'm flailing/fangirling rather than just ranting because the filler words are out in full force.

I was never really on the BSB bandwagon. I had a cd and a cassette, but my mum bought them for me cuz she thought it would make her seem like a hip mum? IDK.
Anyway, I had a friend who was super into them. She got us tickets/backstage passes when they played here in like 2000 or something, just before they totally died down.
And even though I was never on the bandwagon, I totally loved the whole thing. I'm not even still friends with the girl I went with, but BSB songs give me warm fuzzy nostalgia feelings of how much fun the two of us had at the concert. I've even been known to sing along a bit (in a car amongst friends) when they pop up on the gay ipod (my closeted friend literally keeps a separate ipod just for Brittney, BSB, Madonna and so on).

OMG MY EARLY CHILDHOOD AND MY ADOLESCENCE JUST EXCHANGED A FIST BUMP. Meanwhile, 25 year old me is just amused and vaguely pleased. (I heard about this and thought OMG TRAINWRECK but wow, not so much. Kind of in the beginning but it got better.)

Also, wtf, the lead singer of Train singing along with Larger Than Life? LOL

(I understand your defense of the Backstreet Boys. It's how I feel about the Spice Girls. I didn't allow myself to be a fan at the time but I totally love the Girls now. There's just something about sparkly happiness that's hard to fault, you know?)
